Carlye Accepts City Council Donation“All Mom did was sit in front of the TV until the center  became a part of her life. Now she is involved, exercises, volunteers and has new friends” - an appreciative daughter

Every day, your donations help people find the support, services, and activities that will improve their lives.

Every weekday, many seniors get the support they need, and achieve good social, physical, and mental health, and the many benefits provided by our Center. Your donations help many seniors in your community.

There are several ways you can support our mission:
Donate Goods Donate Online

$pring or $eniors Auction
Donate New Items/Gift Certificates

Our 2012 Auction is coming on Sunday, March 25th.

This is the main fundraiser for our Center, so all donations are vital and important, and many opportunities to get involved are available.  Donations for our 2012 Auction can be provided to the Center any time.

Donate new items and gift certificates to your favorite places and activities for our Silent and Live Auctions. Item pickup may be available. (Call 206-297-0403 for more information.) To donate items you will need the Procurement Form, which can be printed from the linked PDF or picked up at the Center.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available to help underwrite the event. To sponsor you will need the Sponsorship Form. This form can be printed from the linked PDF or picked up at the Center. All Donors and Sponsors are thanked in our Auction catalogs, and on the website. For more information call Terry at 206-297-0403.

Regardless of how you contribute, we are grateful for your support. Thanks to your donations, in 2010, the Ballard NW Senior Center was able to provide more than 4,000 seniors from Ballard, Magnolia, and Queen Anne with services. Look through the web site, stop by, or give us a call and you will start to get the picture of center life and see why this senior center is a wonderful place, whether you are 50 or 100.

“A few years ago my husband passed away unexpectedly. I didn’t have any family in the area and I was alone and depressed. I went to the Ballard Senior Center and it was such an uplifting experience to go there to have a meal and to talk to someone. I am a baby boomer senior and like to do things for myself, but the Ballard Senior Center was such a huge help for me—and in a way, a lifesaver. " - grateful wife

The Ballard Northwest Senior Center does so much for so many and is a one stop shop for those 50 and above and their families. Think of yourself, mom, dad, grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend or neighbor and what you or they may enjoy, want or need now or in the future. This is the place in the Ballard, Magnolia, Crown Hill and surrounding areas where it all happens. A friendly lunch spot, a workout center, a movie with friends, a Wednesday night dinner, a health and wellness center, take a class, talk to a lawyer or financial planner or make some jewelry and on it goes.

“Dad wasn’t eating well and seemed to have little interest after our Mom passed. Someone suggested he go to the center. Now, he has lunch friends, takes a class or two, and might exercise on occasion. What a difference! He is interested again in life” - A grateful son

It takes a lot of resources to run a center and we are grateful for all the donations from center members, friends and the community. We are a 501c3 agency and your contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. (Check with your tax advisor). When goods are donated, we have a donation form for tax purposes. Thank you for your help and support.

Donation forms are available at the upstairs reception desk, and a valuation guide is available. We are a non-for-profit and your contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. (Check with your tax advisor).

Rummage Sales
Remember your good rummage is another’s treasure. When doing your after holiday or spring cleaning, put aside several bags of your “don’t need” items for the sale. We accept items in very good condition, some electronics, but not large items due to lack of space. If you wonder if your item is acceptable, just ask us. We appreciate your support.

Please come visit our newly remodeled bookstore. (Paperbacks in the Dining Room). You know the value of a good book. Donate your previously read books, and know that they will be read and enjoyed. People enjoy finding a great book to read. In our new bookstore people are welcome to read and relax in our comfortable couches, and books can be bought to take home.
