Programs & Services

What are you interested in? There is so much happening at the Ballard Northwest Senior Center. There is something here for everyone. Please see the link to the newsletter on the left for more information or call the center at (206) 297-0403.

Clubs & Groups

We have many game groups that meet each week to play different card games. The discussion groups and support groups meet monthly to talk about interests, issues and helpful techniques. The art groups meet regularly to practice skills and create new works of art. The movie groups enjoy popcorn and great films. The exercise groups meet and work on fitness.

Health & Wellness

Do you have a medical question? Do you want to have better health? Visit one of our free or low cost clinics. We have professionals who specialize in everything from counseling to dental hygiene.

Legal & Social Assistance

Have a legal question, or a confusing form? We have professionals who specialize in answering legal, financial, medical, and tax questions.

Presentations & Classes

There are a wealth of classes available. Challenge yourself by taking a language class, get creative with an art and music class, or branch out with one of our other classes.

Community Resources

There are many wonderful programs and services available in Ballard, Magnolia, and Queen Anne. Check out these wonderful opportunities in your community.

Computer Lab 

Stop by Monday through Friday to use our free computer lab or make use of our Wi-Fi throughout the building. We have a state of the art computer lab with eight desktop computers each running Windows 7, as well as a copier, a printer, and a fax machine. No sign up needed to use the computer lab, only a small fee for using our copier, printer, or fax machine. We also have personal computer lessons with a knowledgeable volunteer teachers available for a small fee.

Trips & Travel

Explore fantastic and exciting locations with these trips. Our Program Coordinator has organized many adventures for you to enjoy, from theater events, and musical performances to sporting games and state fairs.

Wednesday Evening Activities

Enjoy special Wednesday Evening dinners created by Chef Bob.  Then view a New Release Movie or Play Bingo!  Our Computer Lab is open 'til 6pm on Wednesday Evenings and Ping Pong Group goes strong along with volunteers working on current projects and classes.  Join Us!

Delicious Meals & Snacks

Enjoy a delicious and nutritious hot lunch prepared daily by Chef Bob. Grab a cup of coffee and a pastry at the Morning Café. Select several free food items donated from local grocery stores and bakeries. Chat over dinner on Wednesday nights with our special home style dinners prepared for your pleasure.

Nifty Thrifty Bookstore

Enjoy finding a great book to read in our bookstore. Open Monday through Friday our collection of new and used books, movies, and music is available to enjoy or for a small purchase to take home.
