Join Chef Bob and crew as we try something new!
Ballard has a strong Scandinavian history. One day each month we are going to serve a Scandinavian lunch. It might be Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish or a combination of specialties from several of these countries.

We would like to have a short program about the country and we need your help with this too. If you have a traditional outfit from one of these countries, an interesting program about the country or have a treasured family recipe you could share, that would be special. If you want to help Chef Bob prepare a dish or design a menu let him know. Bring your friends and family to enjoy these special lunches and celebrate Scandinavian food and traditions.

VOLUNTEER CELEBRATION
Thursday, August 17th, 3:00pm-5:00pm

My favorite event of the year. It is our celebration of all our fabulous volunteers. As we say every day, this center wouldn’t be able to operate and our services wouldn’t be so good without our fabulous volunteers. We serve over 4,000 individuals annually and only have 4 staff members. Volunteers are the life blood of this center. Volunteers give of themselves and I think also get satisfaction from helping. Thank you and we look forward to honoring you at this event. We appreciate your support every day as you give so much.
