ENHANCE WELLNESS PROGRAM
What Is Enhance Wellness?
Enhance Wellness, a program of Senior Services, is a proven wellness program especially designed for older adults who want healthier lives. You, the participant, develop a plan with Enhance Wellness professionals to work on areas of your life that are important to you.
Program eligibility and access: Enhance Wellness is open to older adults with the ability to participate and come to the Senior Center. Please see Scott or call him (206) 268-6761.

FOOT CARE
1st Four Thursdays of the month by appointment.
Foot care nurse Echo is here to provide her excellent care. Please bring a towel with you to your appointment and sign up at the upstairs reception desk. $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
NEW: There will be a $5.00 charge for cancelling less than two days before your appointment.

WELLNESS CHECK NURSE

She is here to help you with your blood pressure checks, insulin testing, wellness and questions. Come see her this week! Drop-ins only.

These residents and their supervising doctor will take time and listen. Natural health care's basic approach is to help the body heal itself. Naturopathic medicine emphasizes prevention of disease, encouragement of the body's inherent healing abilities, treatment of the whole person and personal responsibility for one's own health. To find out more or to schedule an appointment, please call the Center at 297-0403. Friday does take drop-ins as time allows. This is a wonderful opportunity to find out more about naturopathic medicine.

GENTLE YOGA
Thursdays 9:30-10:45 AM
Rejuvenate your spirits with yoga! Practice positions to build strength and flexibility while deepening relaxation. All abilities are welcome to join the classes which are offered. Please bring an extra towel for padding. If you have any questions about this class, please contact the Center.

TAI CHI CLASS
Mondays 1:30-2:30, $10.00 per class

Drawing & Watercolor Classes
10:30am to 12:00pm
Our wonderful art class will continue as a free art group until October 5th when our fantastic art teacher returns. All levels welcome—basic techniques to advanced practicum. Please bring materials, some materials provided.

LINE DANCING

THURSDAYS 1:30-3PM
Join the fun and try line dancing. Charlotte is a terrific instructor and this group really has fun. Spend the afternoon learning to line dance. Beginners are welcome to participate.

LAUGHTER YOGA
Thurs 11:00 - 11:50
Laugh your way to good physical and mental health. Everyone needs a good laugh. Laughter Yoga is a mind-body wellness practice that provides a great workout. This class combines yoga breathing with playful laughter exercises. It is relaxing & fun! When beginning any new exercise program it is a good idea to consult your doctor. The instructor is a Certified Laughter Yoga Trainer.

ENHANCE FITNESS
Mon., Wed. & Fri. 8:45AM, 10:45 AM or 3:30PM
Classes include strength training, balance, aerobics and stretching.

FREE CAREGIVERS OF THOSE WITH MEMORY LOSS GROUP
1st and 3rd Thursdays
Are you caring for someone with dementia, Alzheimer’s or other memory impairment issues? Come talk about with our social worker and others in the same situation. All are welcome.

SOCIAL WORK
Our social worker, Scott Theisen, is here to help you, your family, your friends and our community. If you need someone to help or just to listen, contact Scott on his voice mail (206) 268-6761.

CAREGIVERS’ GROUP
We meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 12:30 PM.
Are you taking care of a family member with health care problems? Join us to discuss issues, share solutions and get the support that is necessary when one is a caregiver.

WELLNESS WORKSHOP
In six, 1 1/2 hour workshops you will learn skills to improve your health, manage fatigue, relax and manage stress and deal with the emotional challenges of on going or chronic health conditions.

LIVING ALONE
We meet the 4th Thursday of the month at 12:30PM.
Come and share the ups and downs of living alone. What can be done to make it better? What solutions have you found?

SMILES FOR LIFE DENTAL ACCESS
This program is a comprehensive approach to improving the oral health of seniors. The program includes oral health care and consumer education classes, with oral health screening and preventative dental hygiene services. Sign up at reception. Must attend class/screening for services. For anyone over 60 years of age. Affordably priced & discounts available.

Oral health screening and preventative dental hygiene services available. Pick up application forms at the front desk, for seniors 60 years plus. Free oral cancer screenings and low cost dental cleanings. (Friday’s)
