MOVIES WEDNESDAY at 6:00 PM

The “Little Cinema” will be showing first run movies in our upstairs Board Room each Wednesday evening starting at 6pm. Bring your friends and enjoy screenings on our 52” television set complements of the Senior Services Capital Campaign. This makes for perfect movie viewing as the picture is large and the sound is great. Please check Center for this month’s list! Why not consider coming in for Wednesday night dinner at 5pm then stay on for the movie?

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BINGO

6:30 pm, $6 buy in for each session.
Great Games, Friendly People, Cash Prizes all in a small, friendly and casual atmosphere. Session starts at 6:30 and buy ins are $6.00.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS

A wonderful way to spend a Wednesday night. Come to the center for a freshly prepared and delicious home cooked dinner with new and old center friends. This is a great dinner for only $7.00. 5 p.m. every Wednesday night. All dinners include salad, vegetables, starch, bread & dessert.

NEW PHOTOGRAPH GROUP

2nd & 3rd Mondays 12:30-2:30

This self run group is just getting started; the members will decide what it will become and how it will run. Center will support it and provide the space, time and coffee. Sign up at reception. Drop-in’s welcome.

BOOK CLUB:

We meet the 1st Thursday of the month at 12:30 PM
Select, read, and discuss books from the Seattle Public Library. New to the club? Call Scott for the title. (206) 268-6761.

SPANISH CLASSES

Beginning Spanish: 9:00-10:00. Fridays
Intermediate Spanish:10:00-11:00 Fridays

FREE CURRENT EVENTS GROUP

Meets each 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 11:00 AM. This is a self created and run group. This group decides the topic and how the discussion will be run. Join in on this new group! All inquiring and open minds welcome.

BEGINNER WATER COLOR PAINTING

Join us to learn how simple it can be to use this lovely medium. Class will focus on brushstrokes, color mixing, color values and transparency, washes and overlapping colors. You will leave class with a completed landscape painting.

COMPUTER CLASSES

Start Every 2nd Thursday of the month and run each Thursday for three weeks.
9:30AM-11:30AM All levels welcome!
Zel Johnson will be teaching computer classes starting each month. Zel has been teaching here and at Shoreline Senior Center and has been well received.
Note: Instructor will be on vacation, so there will be no classes until early March 2010.

GENTLE YOGA

Thursdays 9:30-10:45 AM

Rejuvenate your spirits with yoga! Practice positions to build strength and flexibility while deepening relaxation. All abilities are welcome to join the classes which are offered. Please bring an extra towel for padding. If you have any questions about this class, please contact the Center.

LINE DANCING

Thursdays 1:30-3PM

Join the fun and try line dancing. Charlotte is a terrific instructor and this group really has fun. Spend the afternoon learning to line dance. Beginners are welcome to participate.

LAUGHTER YOGA

Thursdays 11:00-11:50AM

Laugh your way to good physical and mental health. Everyone needs a good laugh. Laughter Yoga is a mind-body wellness practice that provides a great workout. This class combines yoga breathing with playful laughter exercises. It is relaxing & fun! When beginning any new exercise program it is a good idea to consult your doctor. The instructor is a Certified Laughter Yoga Trainer.

ENHANCE FITNESS

Mon., Wed. & Fri. 8:45AM, 10:45 AM or 3:30PM
Classes include strength training, balance, aerobics and stretching.
