Carlye
-
Director
I
am delighted to have you visit the Ballard
Senior Center web site. Welcome! I am Carlye
Teel the Director of the Ballard Northwest
Senior Center. I have been the Director here
for over 20 years and I love what I do. Everyday
provides an opportunity to help, make a difference,
learn and connect with the wonderful people
that come to this warm, friendly and caring
center. I love working with my fine staff,
all the fantastic volunteers, the participants,
community and everyone that helps to make
this center such a terrific place. I am happily
married, have 2 wonderful children and 2 fantastic
grandkids all of whom are the pride and joy
of my life. I enjoy traveling, wish I had
time to do more, being with family and friends,
reading, golf, being involved in the community
and with my Rotary Club and other volunteer
activities. I look forward to meeting you,
please come and see what this center is all
about.
Terry
-
Program Coordinator
Welcome
to the Ballard NW Senior Center. I am
Terry Honodel, the Program Coordinator.
I enjoy working at the Center and being
involved with the many seniors who come
here. Our desire is to provide programming
for seniors to meet their needs and interests.
We want to see our programs grow and if
you are an individual who would like to
get involved, volunteer, or lead a group
or class, or have hobbies and skills you
would like to share with others – please
contact me.
I grew up in the Seattle area, and just
recently have returned to the NW after
being away for 32 years. It is great to
be back in this beautiful area and I appreciate
what the NW has to offer. I can’t think
of a better place to live and we hope
that seniors will come, get involved and
enjoy what the Center has to offer!
Kristina
- Administrative
Assistant Position
Welcome
to the best Senior Center in town!
My name is Kristina Webberley. I first
got introduced to the Ballard NW Senior
Center through my volunteer work,
and when I found out that there was
an opening for an Administrative Assistant
I applied immediately. A few years
ago, I graduated from Western Washington
University with a BA in Accounting,
and since then I have worked as an
Administrative Assistant for two companies.
I have only been a member of the staff
here for a little while, but I already
love working here. My co-workers,
the volunteers, and the wonderful
people, who attend the Center, make
every work day fantastic. I currently
and have always lived in Ballard,
and I am proud that my career is helping
to make it a better place to live.
Linda
Hi
I'm Linda. I've been the nutrition site
manager here at the senior center for
13 years. I really enjoy my job and love
working with the seniors and the great
staff here. I live in Edmonds and have
a wonderful family. I especially love
my grandchildren! Why don't you come on
down and try our lunch some time.
Scott
Hi,
I’m Scott. Mondays & Thursdays
I’m at the Center offering free
counseling, personal coaching & problem-solving
services. The Center, for me, is like
a family, and I really enjoy it. Among
my varied interests are people, travel
& cross-cultural experiences such
as my work on Indian reservation in the
northwest & southwest U.S. & with
the Peace Corps in Brazil.
